Students to take new state tests this spring
SC students will take new state tests beginning in April 2015.  These new tests are ACT Aspire™, ACT Workkeys® and The ACT®.  Not only will the tests reflect the achievement level of students, but the new tests will help teachers understand where their students are succeeding and where extra help or academic focus is needed.  These tests will be an important tool in ensuring student success.  Attached is a link to helpful information from the SC State Department of Education on the new state testing program and what it will mean for your student.

Together in Education - Harris Teeter

AMS has joined Harris Teeter's Together in Education program.  When VIC members shop buy Harris Teeter Brand items and use their VIC card, AMS will receive 2% of the purchase.

Here's how:
1. The first time - tell the cashier during check-out to link your VIC card to AMS by giving them the number 2770.
2. Next time - simply use your VIC card and you'll be connected.

History in the Making

AMS Scored an EXCELLENT rating on the SC Dept. of Education's Annual Report Card.  We are so proud of our students, faculty, and staff for accomplishing this academic goal!  In fact AMS was recognized for its growth and academic accomplishments as compared to both local and state-wide schools.  We are all hoping for a repeat performance!

Thank you to all the parents, business partners, and community members for your support.  It truly takes a whole school/community effort to accomplish a rating of Excellent.  We all have a lot of reasons to be proud.
